Name : Common Vine Snake (Ahaetulla nasuta) – Non Poisonous
These snakes are a beauty and can be found in India , Srilanka and South East Asia. This is a perfect subject for photography provided you spot them. They blend in the green forest and unless you have a good eye you may not spot them. Once you spot them they freeze, so it’s a photographers delight to get them in various angles and experiment with light and compositions.
Initially this was with a leaf behind and provided a different background and color for the image. With a slight tilt in the angle, the light from the leaf was used to take the other picture (Photo 1). Both these photographs give a different perspective to the same subject. Their compositions and use of light are different as you can see.

Remember as a photographer you get to decide your composition, and present your view. Next time when you look through the lens eye , think about light and composition and play with them. Enjoy your photography.
